Unplug & Reset with Forest Bathing

During this 1.5-hour immersive your guide, Glenda Russell, offers guided sensory meditation and prompts to engage deeply with sensory experiences, which can activate the parasympathetic nervous system and provide relaxation and restoration to the body. The prompts also encourage people to remember their connection to nature, fostering deeper relationships and healthy connections with the natural world.

This immersive involves very minimal walking. During the event, participants will alternate between gathering as a group and wandering about exploring on their own in the Aspen groves nearby with suggested prompts provided by your guide. This intimate gathering allows for rest and recovery after a stimulating day.

The concept of forest bathing is derived from the Japanese practice known as Shinrin-Yoku, which means "forest bath" and involves immersing oneself in the forest atmosphere (without actually bathing). It is a practice aimed at improving health, wellness, and joy by spending time in nature. Forest bathing combines elements of meditation and nature connection, helping to quiet the monkey mind or mental chatter and focus on the sensations experienced by the body in the present moment. With deep roots derived from Daoism and Zen Buddhism, we surrender to the flow of the rhythm of nature by slowing down and allowing.

Difficulty: Easy
Elevation Gain: not much :)
Time: Approx.1.5 hours round trip
Note: This session starts and ends in the Mountain Village.
